The New Model Number 3 was the masterpiece of S&W large frame single action revolvers. This example, serial number 1924, is in a category all its own, being a relatively rare target model. This was the first S&W to be manufactured with adjustable target sights as standard. A total of 2930 were manufactured between 1887 to 1910. Blue with case hardened hammer and trigger guard. Black hard rubber grips, checkered with diamond and S&W monogram. Matching serial number 1924 observed on barrel, cylinder, and frame. Rear adjustable sight and partridge style front sight. CONDITION: Excellent with 85-90% original blue blending with brown patina overall. Bore is excellent with minor abrasion. Action is tight and crisp. -MKS-
