Early production C-93 Pistol manufactured by Loewe in Berlin. Designed by Hugo Borchardt and based upon the Maxim Toggle bolt system. These ingenious designs lead to the development of the Luger pistol by Georg Luger. A very limited production of approximately 2500 pistols produced by Loewe, with a very low survival rate exist today. Early rust blue finish with fire blue screws and trigger. Straw finished sear. Checkered walnut grips with piano varnish finish. Matching serial numbers "182" with exception of magazine. 7 - 1/2" barrel, with BUG proofs on left side of barrel and full serial number on bottom. "D.R.P./No75837" on center toggle link. Knob toggle with toggle lock. BU proofs on left receiver and toggle assembly. Right receiver marked "SYSTEM BORCHARDT PATENT." Complete with original black leather holster with retaining straps and buckle. CONDITION: Very good with over 90% blue finish remaining. Slight wear on straps and cocking knob from use. High point finish wear consistent with age. Bore is very strong with darkness in grooves. Grips are very fine with most varnish remaining and sharp checkering. Action operates properly and smoothly. Holster is very dry and leather finish is very crackled with most black being absent. Stitching is strong and straps are present. TDW
