Manufactured 1884. Colt Single Action Army revolver with 4 - 3/4" barrel with proper two line barrel address, three line patent markings on left side of frame, and fitted with a brilliant set of two piece mother of pearl grips. Full coverage engraving with wide scrolls and geometric designs at forward of frame with star pattern splash at cylinder pin gullet. Finished in silver wash with blue screws and trigger and case color hammer. Comes with Colt Factory letter indicating shipped .45 caliber, with no barrel length listed. Finished in the "white" and with stocks not listed, shipped to "Colt Patent Firearms Company, 240 Broadway, New York, New York." Gun was shipped in a 50 gun shipment. Gun was shipped in the white for obvious engraving and fitted with Mother of Pearl grips at point of sale. Housed in a period calf's skin lines double loop tooled leather holster with white stitching. CONDITION: Very good as resilvered. Bore is good with light frosting but with strong rifling. Grips are brilliant and well fitting and without distress. Action is crisp and operates properly. Light pitting is evident beneath silver finish in cylinder flutes and in protected areas. Holster is very good and without signature. Leather is supple and stitching is solid. A very attractive and well documented Colt Black Powder single action. TDW
