First year production 1860 Colt Army with fluted cylinder. Serial number 995 matching on barrel, frame, trigger guard, backstrap, cylinder, and wedge. Blue with case hardened frame, hammer, and loading lever. Brass trigger guard. Iron backstrap showing signs of silver plating. Military sub-inspection stamps observed on inside frame at the recoil shield, and left side of trigger guard. No visible evidence of U.S. stamp on frame. 1-piece walnut grips with government inspection cartouches. Frame is cut for a shoulder stock along with extended screw on right side of frame. CONDITION: Very good overall. Mostly a brown-grey patina. Traces of silver plating on backstrap. Grips are not original to the gun. Bore has strong rifling with moderate abrasion. -MKS-
