Model 1911A1 manufactured by Remington Rand Inc. Syracuse, New York, made in 1943. Parkerized slide with Remington Rand address on left side and "P" proofmark on top in front of rear sight. Correct sights. Parkerized frame with "FJA" inspector's mark on left side and "Crossed Cannons", "United States Property" and "M1911A1 U.S. Army" on right side of frame. "SA" for Springfield Arsenal stamped in front of serial number indicating gun was sent to this facility for repairs. Barrel marked "45 AUTO 7791193 85" which denotes post-World War II barrel change. Ithaca grooved hammer with Remington Rand safety catch, mainspring housing with lanyard loop and slide stop. Checkered correct plastic grips with "K" in star. Comes with original clip marked a "S" for Scovill. CONDITION: 70% original arsenal finish with some light handling marks. Guide spring rod has silicon buffer. Original grips with no cracks or breaks. Mixed parts possibly due to rebuild. Good bore and mechanics. DLM
