Lot consists of: (A) Converted to percussion 1816 pattern musket made by Harper's Ferry and dated 1838. "VP/ (Eagle)" proofed barrel with 1838 dated tang. Smoothbore barrel with blade front sight and bayonet attachment. Walnut wood stock with iron hardware and steel ramrod, illegible proofs. "US" marked buttplate. CONDITION: Gun has been heavily cleaned with polished metal and cleaned wood. Good bore with good mechanics. (B) 1861 percussion locked US "Bridesburg" dated 1862 on lock. Rifled barrel dated 1864 with "VP / (Eagle)" proof, rear flip sight and blade front. Walnut wood stock with iron hardware, steel ramrod and "IN" cartouche on left side (possibly a state militia mark). Comes with period leather sling. CONDITION: Overall good with barrel turning brown and stock showing usage marks. Good mechanics and bore. (C) Harper's Ferry percussion locked musket dated 1850 made to look like a cavalry or sapper's musketoon. Blade front sight, walnut stock with iron hardware and steel ramrod. CONDITION: Musket altered to resemble sapper's Musketoon or cavalry carbine. Overall good condition with good mechanics and bore. DLM
