Marked across top strap with "P. WEBLEY & SON BIRMINGHAM". Broad arrow and "Crown / 7A / E" on left side top strap. "WG Model 1889" over cathedral fluted cylinder. Left side frame with Webley and Scott winged bullet and "Webley Patnets". matching 1449, probably assembly numbers, located on frame and insides of grips. 2852 serial number on right side frame. German silver blade front sight, U notch rear. Smooth trigger, checkered break lever and hammer. Two additional miniscule proofs near forcing cone. CONDITION: Fine, retaining the vast majority of reapplied blue. Grips are very good with some chips and dings scattered throughout butt full sized. Action works appropriately when operated by hand. Bore is excellent with strong rifling. Lanyard loop operates correctly. These revolvers were extremely popular amongst British officers during World War I. EW
