Manufactured 1860's and commercially retailed by John Pratt, Princes Street, Edinburgh. Blue finish with 5 - 3/4" octagon .450 diameter bore. Six shot cylinder with single and double action operation. Adams side mounted loading lever and fitted with checkered walnut grips. Marked on right side of frame "B9077 ADAMS PATENT No. 24748.R.". Lower barrel extension marked LAC under crown. Drift adjustable front sight with fixed rear sight. Housed in English oak case with brass dual cavity mold with provision for round and conical projectiles with tail for wad. Cleaning rod, turnscrew, and James Dixon marked copper bag pattern flask. Interior is lined with greenwool. John Pratt label is posted on interior of lid. CONDITION: Excellent with over 90% factory blue finish remaining. Action operates properly as does safety. Grips are excellent with several small checkering points being chipped. Bore is excellent as well. Bag flask is very fine with original finish and properly working mold is slightly distressed and sprue cutter is mottled patina. Turnscrew and rod are very fine. Case is very good with lining wear at contact points on interior. All partitions are solid. TDW
