Bead front sight on slightly elevated machine matted rib with dovetailed in popup rifle sight controlled by tang mounted selector switch, bar and claw scope mounts with a different matte pattern. Flusstahl krupscher steel designation and J.D. Moritz and Sohn Leipzing legends on barrels. Underside with typical German proofs and diagnostic information. Sling eye soldered to bottom of rifle barrel. Typical small schnabel tip forend with Deely release and point pattern checkering, engraved on release and external iron with flowing florals and geometrics. Boxlock with scalloped rear engraved with florals and vignettes on left side of a male and female deer, right side with two female deer. Top of recoil shields and loading lever matted. Tang with florals, Greener style crossbolt safety. Underside of boxlock with florals and "DRGM 225826" in banner around classic long tang horn trigger guard. Double triggers, front set for rifle. Pistol grip stock with horn cap and point pattern checkering at wrist, shadowline cheekpiece, toe compartment for four rounds of 9.3x74R (currently filled with empty Norma cases) decorated on cover with vignette of pheasants, horn buttplate. CONDITION: Good. Barrels retain most of their black with some browning coming through and some age related spotting and some dents. Wood has been sanded and refinished, with an area of crazing on right side, near toe compartment. Bottom of the horn buttplate has been repaired and replaced; the toe compartment is also replaced and it appears as though during the replacement of the compartment, the horn plate was damaged. Some stable cracks on both sides of the boxlock action and at tang. Action works appropriately, bores have even oxidation throughout. EW
