Lot consists of (A) Large tinder lighter with brass frame and attached integral candlestick pan, candlestick holder attached via screw under pan. Compartment underneath the pan kept closed by a spring loaded plunger. Boxlock action. Iron trigger guard. Slabside bag grips. No exterior markings. Wax drippings in the candlestick holder, no wick. CONDITION: Very good. Brass has acquired a mustard colored patina, but has numerous little dings on underside of pan. Grips are full sized and have a few light marks from handling and operation. Action works appropriately when operated by hand. (B) Smaller frame brass lighter with iron frame, candle stick holder attached via screw. Mechanism mounted on exterior. Walnut bag grips. Compartment in frame for storage. Frame engraved with simple geometrics. Wick cord in candlestick holder. CONDITION: Good. Frame with extensive old inactive oxidation mixing with dove grey. Pan cover is chipped at top. Fore legs are a replacement. Wood is very good, one dimpled area where a previous owner sanded an area down, with other normal handling marks throughout. Action works appropriately but is weak, pan cover does not close completely, needs attention. EW
