Manufactured 1862-1865. The Starr carbine saw extensive use during the US Civil war. Chambered for the .54 caliber rimfire cartridge. 21" round barrel marked "STARR ARMS YONKERS NY" Two piece walnut stocks with single barrel band and steel butt plate. Lever action frame with lever lock and carbine sling on left side. Serial numbered on right side of breech 33115. CONDITION: Fair with all metal having attained a chocolate patina overall with all markings being very legible. Wood stocks are weathered with small chipping at tang and around lock. Butt has two cracks, one emanating from butt and one at tang. Bore is dark with visible rifling. TDW
