1890 vintage Model 1886 rifle, serial number 43972. Full octagon 26" tapered barrel with full length magazine tube. Plain straight grain walnut stock and forearm with a rifle style crescent buttplate. Blue with case hardened frame, lever, hammer, forearm cap, and buttplate. Standard barrel sights. Chambered in .40-82 caliber. CONDITION: Very fine overall with 80-90% original thinning blue blending with patina on the barrel and magazine tube. Case hardened components are mostly a nickel/grey patina with slight traces of original case color. Wood is sound showing moderate wear with scattered dings and dents. Strong clean bore. Action is tight and crisp. -MKS-
