Manufactured from 1893. Chambered for the .32 Extra Short cartridge with a seven shot internal Ferris wheel pattern cylinder. Double action operation with gutta percha side panels and rear grip. Frame and barrel finished in nickel. Internally serial numbered 10234 on frame, cylinder, and removable sideplate. With a total production 12,800. This specimen still retains its original cardboard box with picture, name and Ames Sword Mfg. company name. Inside this original box is the only example of the Chicago Firearms Co price list of spare parts with the exploded diagram of the pistol this cataloger has ever seen. CONDITION: Exceptionally fine with 96% of the nickel finish remaining with a spot of flaking on bottom and the safety lever is broken (as most are) and the gutta percha grips are equally fine with no chips or distress. The box has a very good top with detached sides and a previously repaired bottom the exploded view/parts list is lightly flocked but very legible. TDW
