Barrel made without sights, and stamped with British proofs over center of breech consisting of "(Crown) / (Crossed Scepters) / (Crown) / 4 / (Crown) / (Crossed Scepters)". Original flint lock stamped in center with a large "(CROWN) / GR" and stamped "KETLAND & Co" at tail. Original iron ramrod retained by a single reinforced ferrule. Standard brass Heavy Dragoon pattern furniture. Stock stamped "DE" behind sideplate. CONDITION: Very good. Metal mostly bright with some light freckling throughout mixed with a darker areas of patina. Markings are crisp with one casting flaw through Ketland. Wood is very good with some scattered marks from use, with one chip missing at front of lock, and repaired split on left side running from front of ramrod channel to approximately half way up the barrel. Action is tight, bore is excellent with smooth oxidation throughout. EW
