New Haven Arms Company Small Frame No.1 Pocket Pistol with 3 - 1/2" barrel. Made between 1857-1862 with a total production of approximately 850. Brass with blue barrel. Two line barrel address marked: "NEW HAVEN CONN./PATENT FEB.14 1854". Two piece varnished walnut grips. German silver post front and "V" notch rear sights. Serial number 1684 observed on frame under left side grip. CONDITION: Fine overall. Barrel mostly a gunmetal/brown patina with traces of original blue in the flutes. Bore is excellent. Brass frame is excellent showing a light honey color patina. Balance of metal is a gunmetal/brown patina. Grips are excellent showing modest wear with scattered dings and scratches. Action operates correctly. -MKS-
