Produced in the 1890s. Elaborately engraved and gold inlaid Velodog pattern folding trigger revolver with topstrap marked "MANUFACT d ARMESH D H LEIGE". Case colored frame with blue cylinder and barrel and fitted with a brilliant set of smooth abalone grips. The frame is intricately engraved in tight scrolls and vines with a vignette of a bouquet of flowers on the left side. The barrel and cylinder are similarly engraved with splashes of of vine and scrolls. The entire frame is bordered in a fine gold wire inlay while the cylinder is has gold inlays around the individual flutes. The barrel has gold inlaid borders on the two uppermost flats. Chambered for the 7.65mm/32 S&W? cartridge with a five shot cylinder. Double action operation with a manual safety on left side of frame. CONDITION: Very fine with action operating properly and most all finishes remaining. The abalone grips both have very minor chips at base. TDW
