French produced during the mid-1860's period with 4" octagon barrel and six shot cylinder. Single and double action operation with square butt design and fitted with a pair of wonderfully aged ivory grips. Revolver is tastefully engraved in tight scrolls and inlaid with gold and platinum wire inlays on frame, cylinder, and barrel lug. Unique loading and ejection system loosely based upon the Galand revolvers and having a locking arm that doubles as an ejector. Revolver is housed in a period crushed wool purse clasp holster. CONDITION: Very good with crisp clear markings on left barrel flat. Action operates properly. Engraving is crisp and and wire inlays are prominent. Ivory grips are full sized and without distress. Action operates properly. Exterior finish has been polished and several areas of very light pitting is evident. The crushed wool holster pouch is very fine with solid stitching. TDW
