Manufactured 1944. Springfield M1 Garand Rifle with 24" barrel marked SA 10-65. Three piece military walnut stock set with no inspections markings or cartouches. Detailed disassembly finds all parts appear to be Springfield manufacture. Mounted with green cotton M1 sling marked MRT-62. A small import making on barrel is indiscernible and almost not visible. CONDITION: Good, with most military parkerized finish fading from period use. The stocks are solid, full sized and have typical bruises and abrasions consistent with US Military issue arms of the period. The bore is worn with strong rifling with a throat erosion measurement of 4.5 and a muzzle erosion measurement of 4.5. Action operates properly. TDW
