1892 vintage Model 1873 with accompanying Winchester Museum Letter documenting shipment from the warehouse on August 16, 1893 to order number 20816. Letter further documents rifle, .44 caliber, octagon barrel, set trigger, seven leaf express rear sight, and beach front sight, sling, and swivels. Full blue with casehardened lever and hammer. Plain straight grain walnut stock and forearm. Rifle style crescent buttplate. CONDITION: Fine overall. Clean metal with traces of original blue and case color. Overall a gunmetal grey/brown patina. Wood is sound showing modest wear. Action is tight and crisp. Bore is near fine showing moderate abrasion. Complete with period leather sling. Overall an attractive rifle showing honest wear in a desirable caliber with a rare factory documented seven leaf express sight. -MKS-
