Austrian Model 1842 Cavalry Carbine imported to the United States prior to the Civil War and used by both sides but mainly the South. In the white round barrel with fixed sights and iron backplate with saddle ring and stud. Walnut wood stock with cheekpiece and iron furniture. Original steel ramrod. CONDITION: Metal turning brown with heavy usage marks and dings. Missing saddle ring. Shootable bore and good mechanics. DLM
