Charles Rosenburg was active in New York and Pennsylvania and was known for his portraits, and for his landscapes which were often of a military nature, several of which were engraved for prints. This example is a portrait of a young boy in costume with his drum, in a classical landscape. Relined. Inpainting in sky and scattered inpainting around drumstick, hair, lower edge.
