Marble relief portrait of James Garfield (1831 - 1881), 20th President of the United States. Inscribed "C N Pike sc 1882" Pike was an assistant to U.S. Mint Chief Engraver James Barton Longacre. Original Aesthetic Movement frame in mahogany with gilt beaded bezel and red velvet background.
