Lot consists of three Japanese Type 44, Type 99, and Type 99 trainer bolt action rifles. (A) Type 44 carbine manufactured by Koishikawa. Chrysanthemum has been ground. Carbine has been sporterized. No matching numbers. CONDITION: Metal components retain most of their finish, but show wear all around. Dark bore with fair rifling. Stock is fair, having been shortened and sanded. (B) Series 30 Type 99 manufactured by Toyo Kogyo. Chrysanthemum has been ground. No matching numbers. Front band screws are missing. CONDITION: Metal components retain a fair amount of arsenal applied finish, showing wear and corrosion all around with thinning showing through to patina. Bright bore with good rifling throughout. Stock shows scattered handling marks and wear to varnish all around. (C) Type 99 Naval Training rifle. Receiver bares part of the Japanese anchor and flower naval insignia, with the rest worn away. Receiver is marked "6" with the bolt being marked "H/6" on the handle and bear the numbers "417" on the safety knob and firing pin. Right side of the buttstock bares the training school marking. Retains smoothbore for firing blank ammunition. Complete with unmarked quillion bayonet. CONDITION: Metal components show corrosion and wear all around with thinning showing through to brown patina. Smoothbore is dark. Stock is good, showing losses and wear. MLW
