Manufactured by Mauser for the German military. The chamber date is 1937 and it has S/42 on the front toggle link. Safety is marked "GESICHERT" in the upper position and the extractor is marked "GELADEN" on the left side. It has the correct eagle 63 Waffenampts on the right side of the receiver. This is an all matching numbers gun except the magazine. The magazine is number 8439q. Checkered wood grips are not numbered. CONDITION: Gun retains approximately 92% of the factory-applied blue finish with some thinning on the barrel and some blue loss to the left side of the frame. The small straw parts have 90% of the original straw. Nice checkered wood grips that show normal wear. There are no chips or cracks in the grips. The bore shows use with some frosting in the lands and grooves. REW
