Lot consists of: (A) Smith and Wesson Model 1905 double/single action revolver. Serials on the butt, cylinder and barrel match. Serials on the frame and yoke match Standard round steel barrel with a blade front sight. Original blued finish on the barrel and frame. Grips are original with nice checkering. Case hardened hammer and trigger. CONDITION: Metal retains 80% of its original finish with mild wear and a few freckles of patina. Grips are excellent. Crisp rifling in the bore. Hammer and cylinder are tight. (B) Smith and Wesson 1917 double/single action revolver. Made in 1937 and sold to Brazil. Nice Brazilian crest on the right side of the frame. Barrel marked "S&W D.A. 45" on the left side. Barrel, cylinder and bottom of the butt are all matching. Frame and yolk are matching. Round steel barrel with a blade front sight. Original blued finish has worn to a dull patina in most areas. Wood grips with checkering, and the Smith and Wesson logo on the tops. CONDITION: Metal retains little to none of its original finish with scratches and patina throughout. Grips are fair with heavy signs of use and a chip out of the bottom of the left hand side. Lightly frosted bore with good rifling left. Mechanically fine. Hammer and cylinder are tight. JWA
