Civil War Cavalry Carbine, made by Edward Gwyn and Abner Campbell between 1863-1864 for total of 4,000 carbines. CONDITION: Near mint, with 90-95% bright case color on frame, hammer and lever. 95% bright fire blue on upper tang and loading gate. 95-98% original blue on barrel. Buttplate has been refinished. Wood is near mint showing little wear with slightly rounded corners at the frame, has strong inspector cartouches at the wrist, and at the heel. Proper sub-inspection stamps in correct locations. Bore is bright, action is tight. -MKS-
