Very well accessorized example of the M3 grease gun with cocking lever on the right side of receiver. Marked on left side of magazine housing “SUB-MACH GUN/CAL 45 M3”. Also marked with “U.S. NO.” above the serial number and “Guide”. Original crossed cannon proof mark very clear above serial number. This is an early specimen which does NOT have the protective fence around the magazine detent button. No oiler present. Includes three 30 round magazines, M3 manual, one spare Buffalo Arms complete bolt, and clamp-on flash hider. PROVENANCE: Copy of original Form 3 transferring from Daniel Shea, Long Mountain Outfitters. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is extremely fine to near excellent smooth gray original finish, with a noticeable arch of loss of finish to gray patina where the charging lever rotates across the receiver. Factory welding on this gun is very nice, another indicator of an earlier production gun. Two magazines are gray finished with the third having a deep lustrous blue. Mechanics are crisp. Bore is near excellent, shiny and bright. Bolt face extremely fine. A very attractive specimen, made even more so as an early variant with additional accessories. Scarce item to find in this fine condition. An American World War 2 classic that is fun at the range. THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEM AND REQUIRES BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER. THIS ITEM IS FULLY TRANSFERABLE ON AN ATF FORM 3 OR 4 AS CURIO AND RELIC ELIGIBLE. JWK 2020-11-035
