1 of only 500 of these pistols made, hand engraved with scroll throughout by L. Ernst, who signed the work at the rear of the slide. Muzzle inlaid with gold eagle's head ahead of barrel stepping, top of slide with a dog and hawk mid-fight over a nest with two baby eagles, and a bust of John Moses Browning. 2 piece wood grips engraved and punch dotted en suite with design of pistol. Left side of frame with "124 of 500" and right side with "Browning Gold Classic", both in ribbons. Right side of trigger guard with Belgian proof, right side of slide with "MADE IN BELGIUM / BY FABRIQUE NATIONALE HERSTAL". Housed in a Browning presentation case lined in blue and accompanied by a 1978 Browning Centennial catalog. CONDITION: Fine, retaining virtually all of the factory applied finishes with a few minor handling marks; one particular imperfection on rear grip strap. Gold plated trigger has started to tone. Action works appropriately, bore is very good with strong rifling. Case is fine. EW
