This fine luger was out of the late run of guns made by Krieghoff in 1940 for the German military. On pages 174 - 175 of Gibson's book "The Krieghoff Parabellum", it talks about this small run of guns with only approximately 100 being manufactured of this rare variation. It has all of the correct "(eagle) / 2" proof marks. All of the numbers match including the magazine. The magazine has an "(eagle) / 37" proof and an "FXO (eagle) / 37" proof. The book said that it should have a 122 code magazine. The firing pin is unrelieved and un-numbered. The hold-open device is also unnumbered. Correct Mauser-style black grips. CONDITION: Gun retains virtually all of the factory-applied blue finish with just a couple of slight storage or handling marks. The magazine does not fit the gun very well. Grips are mint with sharp and crisp checkering. Bright and shiny bore with sharp lands and grooves. REW
