Lot consists of: (A) SHTLE No. I MK III rifle manufactured by Enfield in 1913. Right side of receiver is marked "A/ 3088/ XSAW", with the left bearing various British proofs. Matching numbers include the receiver and nosecap. Bolt matches, but appears to be a forced match. Brass stock disc is marked "37". Volley sights and magazine cut-off are present. Buttplate is comprised of brass and no longer retains it's cleaning kit. CONDITION: Metal components retain fair amounts of their arsenal applied blue finish, showing thinning and wear all around, with the majority of the wear being visible on the receiver. Bore is dark, exhibiting corrosion and fair rifling throughout. Stock is good, showing few dings and handling marks overall. (B) SHTLE No. I MK III manufactured by Rifle Factory Ishapore in 1911. Rifle has been converted to fire .410 shotgun ammunition. Magazine cut-off it present. Stock is cut for a volley sight, but the rear volley sight has been removed. No matching numbers. Complete with an unmarked khaki canvas sling. CONDITION: Metal components retain the majority of their arsenal reapplied blue finish, showing some small areas of wear all around. Bore is bright and smooth. Stock has been revarnished, retaining most of its reapplied varnish and showing few handling marks. -MLW-
