Commercial variation with no broad arrow. Provision for mounting a bayonet on right side of front barrel band, which is also mounting with a wide sling eye. Cleaning rod in channel. Forearm stepping in classic configuration. Blade notch sight, combination notch and folding ladder rear sight. Breech with serial number and German proofs. Right side of action with Turner's information. Checkered thumb area at rear of receiver. Turner's roundel on right side of stock. Numbered 4518 on underside of frame, 4728 on trigger guard, and 2303 on barrel. CONDITION: Very good, retaining much of a matte blue with toning throughout and mixing of patina. Muzzle with somewhat more patina than balance of gun. Action works appropriately, bore is very good with strong rifling and frosting throughout. Wood has had an extra layer of varnish added at one point in the past and a few streaks on the buttstock where a cleaner of some kind dripped down the gun. EW
