1875 vintage Colt Single Action Army revolver, serial number 21039. Civilian model with 7 - 1/2" barrel chambered in .45 LC. Correct italicized single line barrel address. Matching serial numbers observed on barrel, under ejector housing, frame, trigger guard, backstrap, and cylinder. "Donut" style ejector rod. Blue with case hardened frame and hammer. 1 piece walnut grips. Accompanying revolver is a Colt Factory Archival letter dated March 25, 1996, signed by Kathleen Hoyt. Letter documents configuration and shipment to H&D Folsom Company New York, New York on October 12, 1875 with 15 other guns of same type. Complete with later period Mexican Loop holster. CONDITION: Fine with a pleasing overall brown patina. Action is crisp. Bore is dark. Grips are fine showing modest wear with rounded corners. Overall an attractive blackpowder Colt SAA. -MKS-
