28" dovetail lump barrels with single steed bead on concave tapered machine matte rib, engraved at breech with tight scroll and bordered breeches, barrels sighted "AUGUSTE FRANCOTTE / BREVETE A LIEGE". Barrel flats with diagnostic proofs for 12 gauge; sling eye on base screwed to underside of rib. Splinter forearm and Anson style release. Exterior of iron with scroll engraving; interior numbered to match action and barrels. Action engraved throughout with scroll engraving and Scottish thistles on recoil shields which have sideclips. Greener crossbolt safety. Automatic safety. Sidepanels converge to teardrops. English style straight stock with wrist checkered throughout. Sling eye at toe. Horn buttplate. CONDITION: Very good as refurbished. Barrels retain most of their black with a few marks throughout from handling. Forearm is good with some scattered marks, particularly towards rear. Action is crisp with clear engraving; trigger guard heavily reblued with visible pitting underneath. Stock is very good with a few marks and one small chip at toe, but is dry. Action works appropriately when cycled by hand, bores are excellent, bright and shiny. EW
