F. Reuthe's Patent of 1857 Game trap made from the 1850s to the 1860s. Cast iron construction with single smoothbore barrel controlled by a hooked when baited and pulled discharges the barrel. Fluted carrying handle which unscrews when in use. Originally covered in dark black paint. CONDITION: Metal worn to a silvery brown patina. Mechanically solid and all there. DLM
