French Model 1777 Charleville Musket with improvements in what is known as a "Year IX" musket for development nine years after the French Revolution made between 1802 and 1819. In the white finish round barrel with three iron barrel bands with blade sight affixed to muzzle band. Barrel marked "M 1777" on tang and "B 1814" on left barrel flat. Flint lock with brass pan marked "Manuf. Imp. de St. Etienne". Single trigger with 2 piece iron trigger guard. Walnut full musket stock with Charleville style cheek dishout. Comes with original steel ramrod. CONDITION: Overall good with light blemishes on metal surfaces possibly cleaned long ago. Wood possibly cleaned with what looks to be a missing stock identification piece. Some small slivers missing around tang. Dark bore full of cosmoline. Good mechanics. DLM
