Model 1842 style percussion musket built in Liege, Belgium circa 1840 to 1850. Round in the white rifled barrel with blade front sight and adjustable rear flip sight. Belgian proofs and Francotte markings near breech on left side. Walnut full military stock with 3 steel barrel bands, steel trigger guard and buttplate. Percussion squared front lock marked "A. Francotte Liege". CONDITION: Metal surfaces appear to have been cleaned long ago to an in-the-white finish. Wood has been cleaned with finish added. Shootable bore with visible lands and grooves. Good mechanics. DLM
