The steel blade of this Kriegsmarine dagger is acid etched with an anchor as the central motif. The blade is maker marked for the firm of "Carl Eicklhorn". The blade is nickel plated with areas of scattered freckling. The brass guard and pommel cap retain approximately 35% of their original gilding. The wire wrapped white trylon grip has a light nicotine patina and a small crack on the obverse side. The brass scabbard has none of the original gilding remaining. A cleaning residue can be seen in the lower recesses. Light dents near the scabbards drag area can be seen. CONDITION: Very Good D.W.
