Belgian made copy of a British Enfield Carbine made circa 1850's. Browned rifled barrel with blade front sight and adjustable rear sight. Barrel has Liege, Belgium proof on rear of barrel with Snider Conversion. Unmarked percussion lock. Walnut stock with single iron barrel band with sling swivel. Brass trigger guard with brass buttplate. Small swivel ring in front of trigger guard for chain nipple protector (missing). CONDITION: Overall good with metal turning a brown patina with some slight surface pitting. Wood has had a coat of cosmoline with handling marks and dings. Dark bore full of cosmoline with visible rifling. Lock mechanism sticks slightly. DLM
