Smith & Wesson Model 1905 6-shot, double action revolver with a "V" prefix serial number sometimes known as a "Victory" revolver made between 1942 and 1945. Black finished pinned round barrel with blade front sight, "Smith & Wesson" on right side, 2-line address on top and caliber marking on right. Black finished frame with "U.S. Navy" on top strap, "S&W" and "Made in U.S.A." on right. Casehardened hammer, trigger and lanyard loop. Plain walnut grips with "V" prefix serial number and lanyard loop on butt. Comes with Smith & Wesson factory letter discussing shipping date and Naval Yard it was sent to. CONDITION: 60% original finish remaining with wear on the corners from holster wear. Grips are oil soaked with handling marks and dings. Good bore and mechanics. DLM
