A very rare example of "Play the Derby" by Chester Pollard Amusement Co., with original marquee card that reads "Decided by the Supreme Court of New York as a Game of Skill" and "Patented Nov 7th 1916 and March 8th 1921". We believe this machine to be the best example of an early original Derby Game to exist. It has two replacement locks and the legs on the horses have been broken. There is nothing about this machine that distracts from the incredible early original look. The interior landscape scene is an all original with no apparent touch-up or repair, some very minor staining consistent with age and intended use. Super graphics and highly-detailed cast figures make the interior of this machine a sure hit in any coin-operated arcade collection. This one or two player machine works well and has no cracks, breaks or repairs to the original mechanism. Has keys.
