Lot consists of (A) 1880's vintage Remington broadside advertisement featuring guns made by Remington from the mid 19th century to the early 20th century with brief descriptions underneath each gun. "Remington's New Patterns of Fire Arms. Ilion, N.Y." at top and "In these days of House breaking and Robbery, every Dwelling, Store, Office, and Bank should have one of the Remington Fire Arms" at bottom. Floral designs in corners of advertisement. Complete with contemporary frame with double beaded border and "rope" outer border. CONDITION: Very good, with light water damage throughout along with some minor wear. Frame is very good with handling marks. (B) Remington mail advertisement featuring the Remington-Rider Parlor Pistol with floral border. "PARLOR PISTOL" / "A NOVELTY IN THE LINE OF FIREARMS!" / "Percussion Caps and Shot the only Ammunition Required" / drawing of the Remington-Rider Parlor Pistol / "RIDER'S PATENT" / "Manufactured By" / "E. REMINGTON & SONS." / "ILION, N.Y." / with directions for loading at bottom. Complete with modern frame. CONDITION: Very good with heavy creases and folds throughout and light water damage. Frame is excellent with modest wear. Overall a great set of advertisements ready for display. -TN-
