Pennsylvania made fullstock "Kentucky Rifle" made in the Upper Susquehanna style signed in script "M. R" on top barrel flat. Full rifled octagonal barrel with blade front sight and notched rear sight. Flint 2 screw lock with with double set trigger control. Full curly maple stock with "Roman Nose Architecture". Brass furniture with whale tail finial engraved patchbox with 5 piercings. Stock has 13 silver inlays including crescent moon inlay above cheekpiece and typical Upper Susquehanna half moon barrel escutcheons. Gun also has brass saddle plate and comb piece. Stock has incised "C" scroll carving with fern and floral pattern. CONDITION: Metal has been cleaned to an in the white appearance with lock having replacement screws and probably is a total replacement. Trigger guard is a replacement with gap at tail. Wood has been added around lock with small crack in front. Gun has added coat of finish but is done with a pleasing result. Gun has great look. Good bore with lock in need of adjustment. DLM
