British Cavalry-style rifled carbine similar to the Pattern 1861 made around the time of the Civil War. "In The White" rifled round barrel with blade front sight and fix 3-notch flip sight and stud for saber bayonet on right side near muzzle. Percussion lock with Enfield-style hammer marked "Isaac Hollis & Sons-LATE-Hollis and Sheath" and behind hammer in a circular pattern "Maker's to Her Majesty's War Department" with Hollis and Sheath initials in center. Walnut stock with brass hardware. Steel sling swivels with white canvas sling. Comes with steel ramrod. CONDITION: Metal shows some light pitting around sight and near muzzle with a cleaned look to all the other metal surfaces. Brass has been cleaned. Wood has traces of original finish with some handling dings and marks. Shootable bore with good mechanics. DLM
