Imported side by side double shotgun from Europe and sold under the Charles Daly name circa the late 19th Century. This gun features Damascus barrels with smooth concave rib marked "Charles Daly Fine Damascus Barrels". Case hardened action with light scroll engraving and "Charles Daly" in horseshoe banner on each side of boxlock scalloped action. Gun has double triggers, extractors and automatic safety. Walnut round knob checkered pistol grip stock with carved point design behind locks. Gun has bakelite buttplate and German silver vanity inlay. Walnut splinter checkered forearm with latch release with ebony tip. CONDITION: Barrels fading to a silvery patina with the light addition of cold blue. Action colors are fading to a plum patina. Wood has been cleaned with checkering re-cut. Pitted bores with slightly loose lock up and good mechanics. DLM
