1889 Vintage Winchester Model 1873 lever action rifle, serial number 312240B. 26" octagon barrel chambered in .32 Winchester Center Fire (.32-20 WCF) with full length magazine tube and standard rear sight with "Rocky Mountain" German silver blade front. 2 piece plain walnut stock and forearm complete with rifle forearm cap and rifle buttplate. CONDITION: Good, with blued assemblies turning to a dark blue-gray patina overall with scattered heavy handling and storage marks. Both replacement and original screws show considerable wear. Stock and forearm are strong with no discernable cracks but have moderate to heavy wear with finish added and turning dark. Action needs some work as hammer does not stay in cocked position and slips to half cock. Bore is dark with heavy abrasion and corrosion with visible rifling. This rifle would make an excellent wallhanger. -TN-
