Percussion Kentucky rifle attributed to Ohio manufacture. Full octagon unsigned rifled barrel with blade front sight and handmade designed rear notch sight. Unmarked percussion lock with double set trigger control. Full curly maple stock with brass hardware including an engraved 4 piece patchbox with 6 piercings and push button release in toe. Gun has 12 engraved silver inlays with fan shaped carving in front of lock and sideplate with a neat moulding line around lock. Architecture similar to guns from central Ohio. CONDITION: In as found condition with replaced nosepiece and some wood near muzzle. Patch box brass has some small cracks and missing parts. Some metal parts exhibit some deep pitting with stock having an added coat of finish. Shootable bore with good mechanics. DLM
