According to the Colt factory letter, this portrait hung for a number of years in the Colt Military Sales reception area in the Colt Armory building in Hartford, Connecticut. The portrait measures 43 1/2 " X 33 1/2" and is a reproduction of the life size portrait of Colonel Colt painted by Charles Elliot in 1865. CONDITION: Very fine condition with some bubbling of the backing. REW
