Absolutely marvelous silver German Bird Box with no repairs, cracks or issues. It has heavy ornate scrollwork, with images of flying birds on the front and back of box. Wind from the bottom of the box and move the figure of the bird on the front of the box to the "on" position, lid pops open and a fascinating little bird with silver beak pops up and sings. When finished, lid automatically closes. A great early piece with a great sound. Stamped "800" in two different places. Has wind-up key.
