Unfired Colt M16A1 machine gun with “Property of U.S. Govt.” and “M16A1” markings on the left side of the magazine well. Barrel is unmarked. Typical Colt logo and address. Poor unclear spurious rendition of Department of Defense white textile mark at front of magazine well. Classic 1980’s military configuration with forward assist flip peep rear sight, triangular handguards, bird cage flash hider and bayonet lug. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is near mint unfired original finish with little to no blemishes to composite furnishings. Mechanics are crisp. Moisture absorbent paper tube in bore not removed. Bolt face near excellent. Fabulous investment level condition gun.
