Lot contains (A) Kriegsmarine dagger with "Alcoso, Solingen" marked nickel plated blade in near mint condition. The double acid-etched blade has the classic anchor pattern, with very light scratches and tiny spots of freckling. The brass fittings retain 93-95% of their gilt finish, and the white trylon grip is wrapped with a double twist brass wire. The brass scabbard retains approximately 95% of its original gilding, with some very light damage near the tip. CONDITION: Overall near mint. (B) Heer dagger with an unmarked blade with scattered marks and light freckling to approximately 40% of its finish. White metal fittings retain 75-80% of their nickel finish and the trylon grip exhibits light wear. A moderately worn portepee is attached. Steel scabbard retains approximately 70% of its finish with patina and light dings. Deluxe hangers with moderate wear is attached. CONDITION: Overall very good. WZ
